Default Sig Tut

Here's my sig tut. text in red is technique from someone else. Following this tut, you can make sigs similar to this one:

First off, open a new project with whatever size suits you. I like 400x150.

Second, Fill the canvas with black.

Now brush around with some grunge brushes in white. After you're done, brush a little more in black (not very much) and right click>colors>invert.

Now, place your render where you want it.

Go to colors>colorize and match your render. Now add some c4d's under the render. To make these look good, type ctrl+l and choose the c4d layer. click the drop down menu and choose "overlay" or "screen"

Go to Image>flatten image. Now, right click and go to layers>duplicate layer. set the foreground color to 00096e and click edit>fill with foreground color

Now set the blue layer to overlay and take the opacity to 40%.

do the same with pink and 2 colors that match your render.

now's the time for some texture to the background. flatten the image, duplicate the layer, and completely cover the sig with the "vine" brush. now go to filters>noise>pick and do the default settings 3 times.

set the vine layer to overlay and mess with the opacity.

now flatten the image and duplicate the layers again. This time, go to filters>artistic>softglow. Now mess with the opacity and flatten the image again.

Now you can add text and whatever else you think looks good.

here's my new sig with it:

It's cool. Your sigs seem kinda big though. try using something a bit smaller.

Are you sure you thought of this technique on your own?

Doesn't seem like something you would do.

Interesting technique.

Setting c4ds to dodge is also a good way to go.

Above the line:
You used the same brushes too many times...

Below the Line:
I've seen that technique many times before...
