How long have you been making sigs? I'm just curious , anyways, It looks pretty good. But there is couple things you need to work on.

First, the focal is a little off, i'm looking at the black hole in the white thing more than the render it self. Make sure to make your render the focal.

Second, is the flow of the sig. See how in the tut the effects are radiating out of the render? And here it's a little ramdon.

Lastly, is your text placement. A lot of people just likes to smack it at the corner of thier tag. That was a very bad habit in my opinion. Here a good guide for your text placement

But don't over use it. As long as the text fits with the flow of the tag you're good.
I give it 7/10 overall. Sweet job =P

Ummm... I don't really remember when I started makin sigs... I know it wasn't that long ago.

EDIT: It was sometime in September I believe.

Lol snakey going on about the rule of thirds. I only use that on my blank sigs. If my sig is crowded I put it where it can be seen

The focal is off, text isn't good. and smudging isn't great, but besides that this one is nice.

This one is your best.

The horizontal to vertical flow is bad, text color and text placement aren't that good either.
