So the idea is you go through a number of solvable puzzles and beat each one? It's good!

Quote:
Base: 1. you can still do a half-switch (see earlier post) 2.Ohoho, i didn't notice this one before! you can do an inverse half switch! if the node is at the top half of you cursor and you do a switch they will be stacked ![]() 3. if a node is switched into falling and on either side of it's falling column has 2 horizontal same color nodes - it will create a combo, however if it is falling and there is a same color node on both sides of it - it will not combo... so if it is an end piece and falling it will combo - if the center piece it won't 4. a piece will combo with itself randomly but it will freeze and it will also freeze nodes that, i think, it wants to combo with.... 5. AHHH! if a piece is combo'ed and all (or 2 in the same row) the pieces below it fall, the combo'ed piece will freeze... hahaha i am soo good (also the frozen nodes become "Perma-nodes" you can't move them, and they won't fall, but you can still use them in combos! and they still won't disappear!) Fixed: 1. you can do a half switch here also 2. if an "x" node is falling and you switch another "X" node below it and it falls also, they will stack (but i think that's what you mean by your bug) Hope i helped

Pretty big update. Still bound to be some bugs. No Fixed update this time. Thanks for all the help Damion.
EDIT: Possibility I missed a certain check of mid-air combo's. I also noticed a funky set up that shouldn't have worked, but did. I'll be making a fixed soon to test it out. I'll update with that. EDIT2: I'm surprised I ran into that bug so quickly. It seems to require a pretty precise set of happenings to actually effect anything. Fixed is now an example of the bug, and it's mirror, which oddly enough works fine. EDIT3: There seems to be an odd switching error. I don't know the details, but I got it by quickly switching a block into the same space as a block that just entered a combo. Base: Puzzle Game v0.85 Fixed: Puzzle Game v0.85

1. half switches work
2. try this one yourself find 2 pieces side by side (this might be hard ) and click them as fast as you can - eventually they will fall through the row to the bottom and become unusable - what is this you may ask? Another Half switch!3. #5 from before still works 4. before a combo disappears you can still use the nodes in the combo ![]() 5. #3 from before still works (only happens with three pieces) Wow - this code is getting fairly big huh? it's sapping a lot of my CPU (my 15 year old CPU (but my CPU, None - the - least!))

Us teenagers go to school, we just don't pay attention to these things. Not everyone has the learning capabilities or attention spans to learn or care to learn big words. most of society forgets them cuz they don't go to school no more and don't have to use them in modern society. so kids don't learn this stuff cuz 85% of us go on to do simple office jobs.

Yes. There is a ton of recursive checking going on behind the scenes that, while I'm not particularly happy knowing about, must be optimized before I release the game. Right now though, as long as it runs well enough for test for bugs, it's all good.
Also, do you have Flash Player 10? After getting FP10 Flashes run faster in my browser than on my computer in the stand-alone FP8. It's pretty awesome. Also, here's a special update for you. I couldn't click that fast, so I tested with an auto-clicker clicking 1000 times a second. I saw the bug and lol'd. I then quickly fixed the Half Switch. I tested it again at 1000 clicks a second and failed to Half Switch at that speed. Puzzle Game v0.87

Damion, sometimes when I switch around some blocks at possible-bug times, they get stuck with X's on them, which means they're either; not where they should, currently falling to where they should be, or are a null tile (those black ones).
Think you could figure out how to continuously recreate this occurrence? I only do it out of luck. And I can't figure out how to use nodes that are currently being combo'd in another combo. How do you do it?
