OH MY GOSH i thought Hercules's Highscore was impossible to beat.... and i just got 33 SECONDS~!!!

Well its possible, but it will require lots of luck, the good powerup, missing not even 1 block and clicking like crazy .

I'll tell you what I'm doing:

1. To get a sub-40 score, you have to shoot from VERY close. This decreases the time between shots.
2. Break the big square into 4 smaller squares, then attack the two fastest ones. You will need to get all these out of the way in the first 20 seconds.
3. Note that when they break into rectangles, they are always horizontal... so it's easier to shoot them from the top and bottom, because you'll have a wider target.
4. Only take shots in the direction of the wall (or corner) nearest the square you're shooting at, so if you miss, you don't waste time waiting for the bullet to hit the wall.
5. If you do miss, use that time to snag stars that you had to leave behind earlier.
6. Learn how to use each powerup, and take advantage of whichever one comes up at 19 seconds. You'll need to have two big squares left to clear them in 10-15 seconds... any loose ones and you'll be chasing them all over the screen.
7. For the slow powerup, get close to the square and blast it, turning only slightly to hit the fastest moving sub-squares. Don't let them get to far away from you... this increases the time required to shoot 'em. And don't chase them too much... they're going slow, so you don't want to run into them.
8. For the Mega powerup, take careful aim and hit the CENTER of the big squares. If you're lucky, you'll be left with a bunch of stars in a tight bundle, and no sub-squares to chase and shoot. Try to take shots close to a wall, so you'll get another shot quickly.
9. For the Invincible Powerup, run into the center of the big square and fire like crazy. If you time it right, you'll demolish it in 2-3 seconds.
10. I've posted times under 35 seconds using all these techniques... but my latest 30-second time was with the Mega powerup and two good shots (and chasing two single squares). I think a time under 30 seconds is possible with the slow power-up... If I hit 35 seconds, I kill myself so I don't waste time in a long game. I only have a finite number of minutes to goof off!
