My chemistry teacher showed us that if you put a packet of mentos mints, into a 2litre bottle of coke (diet), coke ends up spouting up to 4m high.

OMG. we did that experiment in science gr.8 except we used those "pop rocks" ! apparently if you drink the mentos with the pop it will make your stomach EXPLODE!! KABOOOM. tooo scared to try it,lol.,

yeah - that's a basic one
about the soap one, these 2 soaps work: Ivory and Dial
the reasons behind it are because those soaps have air pockets in them (very small) and when air is heated it expands, so the only option is to inflate the soap

so if i put a bottle of liquid soap in the microwave it will.....EXPLODE!
never would do that ....but wondering......

welll there are no air pockets in liquid soap - so i would say no....
you should try the soap experiment at your house - just remember to put paper towel below the bar of soap

as long as it doesn't cause any damage, cuz if something happens to my mother's appliances.....im in some deep ****.

try my schools microwave first,lol.

tip of the day regarding microwaves:

never put a block of butter covered in tin foil into a microwave

i did that coke n mentos at home once... and i also ate a marshmellow that was inscreased size (heated up) then cooled and it shrunk. tasted good
