when you save a picture and upload it, it is almost always better to upload as a .png. a jpg can screw up the quality.
in example: My avatar as a png (current format) ![]() in JPG format: ![]() i think you catch my drift. also, i believe the smaller the picture, the more change there is

I can definitely pick up what your laying down, even if it's not a major change in quality.
I encountered a different problem with the quality of my other avatar. Once I uploaded it to TGH (the first avatar I made), it looked fine, but then when I went to my moms house on a different computer, and the quality of the avatar was wierd and messed up completely. The white spots that i had created were turned to black. The bombs string was turned into a solid black line. The eyes were also filled in black, but the shirt was normal. I was kinda freaked out when i saw it. but then i changed my avatar anyway, so its ok. I wonder how the happened. ![]() Your definitly right about the quality though, i also saved that one as a jpg, oops.

yeah I always save in .png
It's the best choice for making avatars and usuelly is for other things made on paint and Ps.
