don't use the origional picture. upload it at tiny pic and copy and paste the IMG code.
when you upload it to tiny pic, there's a scroll box at the bottom that you can modify the size with.

Well i went into custom signature, Typed my name in the typing thing, clicked on browse, got this gears of war pic, and hit upload, and saved my signature.
