High Scores

hello everyone!
i see that a lot of people keep posting ideas about the high score, about "change this" - "Delete that", although some of those ideas have benefits, most have a lot of downfalls, so i say "Add this". let's see if i can't point out some of the major pros and cons of the biggest "supported idea"

Deleting the Highscore list every <insert time length here>
PROS----
*gives people more chances to get on high score
*cheaters don't have "permanent" scores
*....that's about it.....

CONS----
*when should this deletion take place? 1 month after all scores are stale?, or a month after the latest highscore?, or at the begginning of every month?
~the first is flawed because who knows when that will be
~second one is flawed because that too could take forever
~the last because if a person got it on the last day - no one would see their hard work and acheivement
*This would affect everyone playing - whether they like it or not
*The leaderboards would go haywire

In my opinion, the cons outway the pros....
this is where my idea comes in, instead of deleting everyone's hard earned high score (or hard cheated high scores), we just make new recording sections for people to play in such as "Year", "Month", "Week", and "Day".
this not only keeps the forever section, and adds new sections for people to complain abou....errr....i mean "play in"....also the leaderboard will be untouched, it will only keep the scores and records of "Forever Scores"
now to discuss the pros and cons

PROS----
*keeps High scores EVER made, and adds new "Temporary Highscores"
*Doesn't affect anyone who doesn't want it
*leaderboards stay the same
*anyone who wants change gets it
*will increase competition - more highscores to earn
*long lasting tournies involving everyone will happen (lasting a month, week, or a day)

CONS----
*Cheaters will still stalk the "forever" scores
*the time it resets may be negotionable (i say at midnight in gaz's time)

here's how i picture the new set up...
first - remove the "Newest Games" and "Search" sections
extend the ones to the right of it all the way to the left...
at the end of "newest champions" it will read:
"Da Best is the new Max Dirtbike champion for the WEEK!"
"latest arcade score" and "most played games" sections will stay the same

and here's a general idea of how the new "Highscore - Champions" section will look... (did it quickly)

well - i figured that out when i was writing this out...
so i think it would just write what is the best acheivement...
month > week > day, or it would just write it how you did - there would be enough room

i have always thought about this, but never thought about posting it...lol...
well, i support it

although, another thing you could do is delete the top 3 high scores in every game like once a month...or make it so if a score has been in the top 3 spots for a certain time period they are deleted...say, fredbob scores 2000000 in max dirtbike (lol), then after a month it is automatically deleted...so the competion gets going again...

this isnt as good as yours, but it could work too...
